my comment on american chopper live

junior - out source his frame, wheels, engine, fork, and the swingarm. at least his “team” built the tank, but it is just a cover that looks like a tank, but very creative.
jesse - built the tank, frame and forks from stainless steel in-house which is nice, for riders not just for show.
senior - not a motorcycle.

conclusion - it's a build off among the top 3 most famous bike builder but not the worlds best, they must compete with the worlds best to be crowned the WORLDS best on amd world championship link- http://www.amdchampionship.com/results

if for america's best bike builder it must be dave cook of cook customs link- http://www.cookcustomchoppers.com/bikes.htm he's the only american who competed against the WORLD that got the 1st place in 2009 link- http://youtu.be/0XQWBL5G7MI

from bobber to boardtrack

hardtailed bobber turned cafe racer, a norton tail light, triumph rear fender, chrome v-twin fender struts, 7" barrel springs, gilera 106 fuel tank, triumph headlight and sundry aftermarket bits like clip-on bars and polish alloy headlight ears. future mods will relocate the foot pegs to mid.

which tank?

i want an old school super clean rounded peanut tank (never goes out of style) wala akong mahanap na gumagawa dito kaya no choice but to import. all these tanks cost more than $120+ if i'm gonna import it plus the shipping and taxes it will be pricey
so before order i need some opinions, pls. feel free to write a comment which tank you think will  be better on my next bobber project, thanks in advance.

1.) rolled edge sporty
PhotobucketPhotobucket
updated version of sportster tank with round bottom but only available in 3.4 gallons, guess a little large for my bobber frame need a serious modification.

2.) wassell
PhotobucketPhotobucket
2.0 gallons vintage wassell tanks are favorite of many custom bike builders, extremely rare and expensive but i found a company that remanufactures exact replica with heavier gauge.

3.) narrow alien
PhotobucketPhotobucket
2.1 gallon narrow alien head shape gas tank with no flat and all round all the way across to the center, pretty nice old school look.

4.) axed
PhotobucketPhotobucket
2.2 gallon axed tank is also round shape all the way across the center but more bulbous apperance than the narrow alien and sits pretty high on frame's backbone.

5.) mustang
PhotobucketPhotobucket
2.8 gallon mustang tank will looks wide and low on my bobber, this tank is the largest and widest i found that fits my frame.

6.) cole foster, salinas boyz
PhotobucketPhotobucket
2.35 gallon gas tank design by very talented mr. cole foster of salinas boyz customs, this tank looks sharp and sits very low.

7.) dished
PhotobucketPhotobucket
3 gallon dished side panels gas tank made very popular by the late legendary indian larry, i guess this tank will look great on more expensive custom paint job and also bit large to fit on my frame.

vintage triumph risers

i've been wanting this original vintage triumph risers for a long time, finally i bought a pair from lovecycles pero di ko pa natatangap,  shipping from u.s.a. to philippines i guess need to wait few more weeks.

bobbers around the world - deldova

here's pics of another creative builder from california who uses the same knock chassis.

groovy blue
110cc engine.

stock rake but higher up-front with taller springer forks and lower at the back-end by using smaller scooter wheels, tires and dropped the fender to give this bike a mid chopper look but retain the stock size and configurations of a bobber. pretty nice huh.

riserless twisted bars.

taller twisted springer.

dropped rear fender.

lifish
a twin parallel lifan engine with dual carbs, wow it still fits on hk1 frame. nice work!

have you tried a right hand shift?

mid controls.

old school cz tank.

inverted springer.

jers t-bars 1 2 & 3

jers t-bar 1
all stainless steel, riserless twin tube t-bars.

installed.

with matching exhaust.

jers t-bar 2
single tube for 7/8inch.

make several back welds six each on top and bottom and 8 in the middle portion.

total of 20 back welds for peace of mind.

 cleaned and polish.

test fit, will looks better with lower risers.

jers t-bar 3
also single tube but for 1inch risers step down to 7/8inch controls.

one of a kind.
